Well GW is a monthly fee free game. You know what to expect. Having to actually pay some $$ for playtime often prunes out some rotten apples and usually young kids who can't pay for themselves. Not all of them ofcourse. The more $$ involved the better har. :B

I was doing some selling in Kama earlier for the first time in a little while. I remembered how much I get annoyed by the people who put "PM OFFER!" for common stuff that has a pretty well defined price. It's like they either think they'll get more for it that way or they can't be bothered to look at the 5 other people selling the same stuff to find out what a reasonable price is. This is true even when I'm not buying it...
Examples:
WTS Strength and Honor 15^50 PM OFFER!
WTS +30 sword mod wisp me
Selling 3 Warrior Tomes make an offer!

1) PvE players who complain constantly about nerfs, despite PvE being easy enough to beat with half a skill bar or even letting your heroes do all the work. The fact that they complain without knowing why the skills were nerfed just makes it even dumber.
2) PvE players/guilds that claim to be "PvX" because they dabble in RA/TA/AB with BYOBuild groups. Don't fool yourselves.
3) People who open trade with you randomly and repeatedly and state a price for the item inserted, expecting you to buy.
4) Beggars.

A.net isn't really as informative as they could be about the reasons for some of their nerfs. And a lot of nerfs that were designed to hit PvPers end up hitting PvEers unnecessarily. Separate PvE and PvP as far as skill/class/whatever balance is concerned, problem mostly solved. When a PvE player decides to take their character into a PvP environment, their skills automatically get adjusted to meet the PvP nerf/buff conditions.
And you explain to me why the hell the Ox dagger attacks got nerfed. I can't see any good reason.

I'll give you that they aren't particularly informative (directly, at least), but wiki is just a /wiki away and I'm sure GWG is in your favorites. And yes, the current PvP/PvE skill sharing system does leave PvE-ers with the short end of the stick most of the time, but I'm speaking of the players who cry about stuff like the Soul Reaping and pet corpse nerfs and speak as if PvE is ruined forever and that all their ursanway builds are ruined now.
Separation isn't going to happen with GW1. What's done is done, and that's a huge change to make, especially with GW2 on the horizon. It's such a requested change that I can hardly imagine they won't implement it for GW2, even with the easier-to-balance reduced skillcount.
That one didn't seem to have any direct reasoning behind it, besides that Izzy's grasping at straws to kill SP. Hitting an attack on the bar lowers the overall spike power, and if the combo can't kill it's back to the drawing board for assassins. That's -40 damage on the original spike unless I'm mistaken, but the original spike is now out of commission so the nerf is still somewhat pointless.

I go along with those disliking people being mean/rude/unhelpful to newbs and being disappointed by people who can't be bothered to say thank you.
If I have a particular peeve, it's those people in a PUG who, when you're leading them thru a mission and have instructed them to stay behind the lines you draw on the minimap, run up with me (or past me) and start attacking the enemies I'm trying to lure back to the group. What part of "stay behind the line" didn't you understand?

I dislike most of the people in GW except for the ones i know/ play with. I have local and trade muted most of the time. I have recently gotten back into City of Heroes, and everyone is so much nicer, they whisper you before randomly trying to add you/sell you random stuff you don't want.
PUGing is practically non-existant for me, as 90% of the people i've PUGed with in the past have been utterly moronic, suicide wammos, people who just stand around etc.
The worst one was some elementalist in Nolani Academy, he refused to fight, lurking around to get the drops after we killed all the mobs (we were all low level at the time, before HM), when he died i and everyone else refused to res him, i stood over his body and started ressing, and stopped before it cast. He got perma-blocked for that.
I also agree with the black FoW armour wammo clones, I talked to a few and they all seem so far up themselves it's unbelievable.
Also sellers who refuse to put a price, imagine going into a shop and everything has no price, and you have to argue about prices with the owners.
L33tsp34|< and all it's forms, certain abbreviations are ok, such as lol and brb, they are fine by me as quickly conveying things in a text medium, but a stream of gibberish doesn't endear me to anyone.
But by far the funniest ones are ragequitters who ragequit because you didn't do something their way, which coincidentally was the TOTALLY WRONG way, that makes me laugh.

The suck-first-leave-later people I call them, they're baed. Sore losers piss me off too, I like PvP and I usually don't give crap about losing as long as I know we did reasonably well.

Yeah same here. I go into PvP expecting to lose so my hopes aren't shattered like so many other folks.

QFT. These very forums have several elitists, who think they are owners of the truth, that I really despise and feel bad for. Newbies are far better to deal with, and can provide some laughs. Teaching them is quite rewarding, too.
I play both Diablo II (for over 6 years now) and World of Warcraft (several months), and unfortunately the Guild Wars community feels like it is by far the worst in this aspect, in my opinion. The elitism and snob attitude really manages to drive me away.

Anyone that impacts anothers gameplay in a negative fashion. Although my least favorite are people who flaunt off their titles. Sure, they don't outright say it or make it obvious, but you can tell when they're trying to gloat at you.

I dislike demanding people, more the ignorant ones then others.
AB would be the worst for this I'd say. The ones who EXPECT you be meatshields for them while they do and extremly mediocre <-- (I spell it wrong?) job.
Gloaters, calling people "noobs" just proves how ignorant you really are.
just because you kill someone doesn't mean their a noob.
People who spead slander against Lux/Kurz.
both of them are exactly the same, just different colours.
